Project Brief: The goal of this collaborative project was to design an interpretive sign for the US Forest Service after doing onsite research for two weeks at Iowa State's French Conservation Camp in Montana. During our time there, we learned from and engaged with scientists, US Forest Service rangers and stakeholders interested in the project.

This opportunity was truly a unique interdisciplinary experience working and living with other designers, forestry students, and English majors. Rather than learning in a dark classroom, our time was spent hiking with wildlife scientists, meeting with a graphic designer from the US Forest Service, and exploring local museums and landmarks that informed our later designs.
